Kenya’s National soccer team Harambee Stars on Sunday started the CHAN competitions on a positive note after harmmering DRC Congo, “Batoto ba Mungu” 1-0.
The newly refurbished Kasarani national stadium was filled to the brim, Kenyans led by their President, William Ruto, ODM Leader Raila Odinga and Prime Cabinet Secretary and Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi set aside their political differences and united to watch the stars shining above DRC.
“We salute Harambee Stars for an outstanding and entertaining display of talent. Your victory today against the Democratic Republic of the Congo is the beginning of what promises to be a historic chapter in Kenyan football. Thank you, Austin Odhiambo, for sealing the win. We are living up to the rallying cry “Stars Must Win”. We are behind you all the way,” said President William Ruto.
