“We do not have much time to argue with our opponents because in the remaining two years before the next general elections we must ensure our people get the required development and we full implement what we promised them, after that we will chat the way forward,” he said.

Ali noted that he was elected as the Nyali Member of Parliament in 2017 without a political party and in 2022 he chose to join the UDA party reiterating that party politics are non-issues to him when it comes to serving his people.

Ali has hinted on vying for the Mombasa gubernatorial seat come 2022 general elections.

He cautioned his opponents to get prepared for a tough battle when the right time comes.

“No political seat is reserved for anyone we are a democratic country and we have to set our agenda straight so that we are elected. The problem with most of us is that when we sail into leadership, we immediately forget our roles and mandate bestowed on us by the electorates, with such failures be assured that the voters will send you home,” he noted.

The Lawmaker has urged his Nyali electorates to remain focused, partner with him to enable the leader achieve his development agenda as he serves his second term as Nyali MP.

He reiterated that Mombasa residents need quality service and development from leaders closer to them, a reason why he is going for the Mombasa top seat.

The vibrant Legislature is slated to battle some heavy weights in the Mombasa gubernatorial seat, these includes; the incumbent Abdulswamad Sharif Nassir, former Kisauni MP Ali Mbogo, Mombasa County Assembly Speaker Aharub Khatri among others who are yet to make public their interest for the Mombasa county top seat.
