Nyali Constituency Parliament hopeful Said Abdallah has backed efforts to empower women groups in the area.
Abdallah, famously known as “Saido” said women remain the beacon of the society and their efforts to initiate livelihood projects need support.
The politician who is once again battling for the Nyali Parliamentary seat in the 2027 General elections says he has been working with women and youth groups in Nyali and he still carries on with the spirit to uplift women and youth groups in the Constituency.
Speaking during a meeting with women leaders in Shauri yako village within Mkomani, Nyali Sub County, Mr Abdallah noted that the area women leaders have taken the front lead in ensuring they are economically empowered, they safeguard their families and engage the youthful generation so that the youth do not plunge into divisive politics.
“These women are already doing a lot in our society and they only need a strong backup and financial support so that they fight economic challenges facing them,” said Abdallah.
He promised to work closely with women groups in Nyali Constituency so as to facelift their living standards.
“Let’s not be divided by greedy people around. Let’s have a unity of purpose and transform our lives. The voice of the community is paramount and as a leader I should listen to the community at the very grassroots level and understand their needs so that together we attain our objectives,” he stated.
Since the beginning of the year Abdallah has accelerated his efforts to take the Nyali Parliamentary mantle from the incumbent, Mohammed Ali who is eyeing the Mombasa Gubernatorial seat in the 2027 General election.
The battle for Nyali Constituency Parliamentary seat is slowly hotting up, with at least seven candidates having declared their interest in inheriting Mr Ali.
