Nyali Parliamentary seat hopeful in the 2027 General elections Elkana Jacob has graduated with a Masters in Criminology from the University of Nairobi.
The step further strengthens his education profile, as an expert in crime related aspects.
Mr. Jacob, is a professional journalist who worked with Radio Group Africa owned (The Star) Newspaper, as a Coast region reporter for years.
He later left the media house and joined the Nairobi County Government, becoming the Official Director of Communication and former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko’s Communication strategist.

Recently, Jacob declared his interest in the Nyali Parliamentary seat in the 2027 General elections, weighing in the already tough battle.
The journalist and criminalogist cum politician has been working towards achieving his political goals in the forthcoming General elections, traversing Nyali Constituency, appealing to locals to back his bid.
“On September 19, 2025, at 10:45 AM, I was deeply honored to graduate with a Master’s in Criminology from the University of Nairobi. This milestone is not mine alone but dedicated to the great people of Nyali, my family, friends, and fellow graduands,”
He carried on “To my dear mothers in Frere Town Ward, Team Elkana Jacob Mashinani has something special coming your way soon. By God’s grace, the journey continues onward to a PhD, after Law and Cybersecurity,”
Elkana, a professional journalist, Media Consultant, Digital Media Strategist, Criminologist and a security expert still aims higher.
He had promised Nyali residents nothing but a focused development oriented leadership acknowledging what the current Legislature Mohammed Ali has done.

“The track record during the entire leadership of the incumbent, Mohammed Ali is evident and my main agenda is to even lift that development record higher and ensure Nyali people benefit from an open all-inclusive development oriented leadership,” he earlier told a women forum under his “Team Elkana Jacob Mashinani” grassroots political forums.
