Detectives from the Transnational Organised Crime Unit (TOCU) have arrested a drug trafficker in Bakarani area within Kisauni Mombasa County, following a well-coordinated operation based on crucial intelligence leads.
The trafficker, 45-year-old Abdalla Said Omar, was cornered at his rented residence where officers discovered 300 grammes of heroin concealed in red and green carrier bags, tightly wrapped in clear cellotape.
Alongside the drugs, the detectives also recovered two digital weighing scales believed to have been used in the illicit trade.
Omar is currently being held at Mjambere Police Station as detectives finalise investigations before he is arraigned in court.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is urging the public to fearlessly report any criminal related cases so that those involved including drug traffickers are arrested and charged in court.
