Tears rolled down freely on the cheeks of a top rapper Kaa la Moto Kiumbe as he laid to rest his father.
Barely a week ago, Kessi Mohammed (real name) shared his tribulations on social media that his dad Mohammed Charo Kessi was suffering from Oral Cancer (Cancer of the tongue) and that he needed a total of Ksh. 700,000 for radio therapy and other specialised treatment for his father.
Kaa la Moto Kiumbe has been the sole bread winner approaching his entertainment family and friends to assist him to settle the treatment expenses.
“I approach you in a special way my family to enable me get Ksh. 700,000 for my father’s remaining radio therapy sessions and other specialised treatments,” posted Kaa la Moto on his social media handles.
However, as friends in the entertainment scene were running up and down to battle the situation, on Saturday evening, Kaa la Moto announced the demise of his father.
“Our dad has bid farewell to all of us. I don’t believe am the one typing this but to God we come from and to God we shall return,” he posted.
Mohammed Charo Kessi has been battling cancer of the tongue for the last one year before he bowed down to it on Saturday evening.
Players in the entertainment industry mourned with Kaa la Moto Kiumbe.
Artist Nyota Ndogo (Mwanaisha Abdallah), Pwani FM presenter Gates Mgenge among other stakeholders in the entertainment scene sent their condolences to the renowned rapper.
The late Mohammed Charo Kessi was later burried in Kauma, Chonyi near Jaribuni Secondary school, Kilifi County under islamic rituals after afternoon prayers at Tawheed mosque in Mgongeni area.
