The witnessed strong winds in the Coast region since early Sunday has sent most Coast residents into panic.

The strong winds have already caused destruction in Kwale, Mombasa, Kilifi and Lamu counties.
In Gandini area, Kinango, Kwale county, a roof of a mosque was blown away destroying the house of worship.
None was injured during the incident as the Muslim faithful had already prayed and retired back to their homes when the incident occurred at around 11 pm Monday night.
In Mombasa, a huge tree fell on a road junction near Mbaraki cemetery on Tuesday afternoon, though no one was injured, the incident caused major snarl up in the area.
The busy road serves motorists plying from Mombasa CBD and the larger industrial areas of Labour and Shimanzi within Mombasa Island to Likoni ferry channel.
Mombasa County Commissioner Mohammed Nur had earlier advised locals to be on the lookout as the strong winds continue hitting the county and mostly the beaches.
“We urge locals to distance themselves from our beaches because the strong winds may trigger disasters in the beaches,” he warned.
He also urged fishermen to conduct their business with utmost caution, to avert any emergencies in the Indian ocean.
The ongoing strong winds witnessed in the county also destroyed a section of Mbaraki girls secondary school roof, two houses in Likoni, a house and a Madrasa in Kongowea within Nyali Sub county and some electricity supply polls in Kisauni Sub county.
The Kenya Red Cross Society, Mombasa branch through its Disaster preparedness department is closely monitoring the situation.
