Safaricom has officially launched the third edition of its annual Safaricom Engineering Summit, providing a dynamic platform for young engineers, scientists, tech enthusiasts, innovators, and industry stakeholders to engage in discussions, exchange knowledge, and shape the future of engineering.

Held under the theme “Charting East Africa’s Digital Destiny,” the three-day event aims to highlight the role of young innovators in transforming Kenya’s engineering landscape through innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability.

“This year’s summit serves as a vital platform where Safaricom engineers can showcase their technical expertise while connecting with the wider tech community. It underscores our commitment to being the preferred technology partner for young innovators navigating the digital landscape,” said Dr. Peter Ndegwa, CEO of Safaricom.

The event is expected to attract over 10,000 in-person attendees, with thousands more joining online. Throughout the three-day summit, industry experts will deliver presentations on emerging technologies—such as artificial intelligence—and their impact on business operations and human potential across various sectors. Interactive sessions will allow participants to exchange insights, collaborate on scaling innovations, and explore strategies to enhance efficiency and deliver long-term value to clients.
