Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has once  on urged Kenyans to respect the Presidency.

Mudavadi said that Kenyans have been reacting negatively to whatever the president says, stating that such trend should stop.

Speaking during a women empowerment forum and a Harambee event at Shamakhoko Secondary School, in Vihiga County, Mudavadi emphasized that a nation’s success hinges on the strength and respect of its institutions.

“The  Presidency is as the most vital institution under our Constitution, lets all uphold its dignity by embracing public service, observing decorum, and remaining steadfast in our commitment to the Constitution and the rule of law,” said Mudavadi.

According to the Prime Cabinet Secretary, a section of Kenyans have been misusing the internet, spreading misleading the public about the government.

“We respect diverge opinions and different thoughts and opinions from our youth, however, we should not embracing the politics of mudslinging each other,” added The Foreign and Diaspora Cabinet Secretary.

He said President William Ruto and his entire cabinet is working tirelessly to ensure the country’s economy is stable.

Mudavadi said the over two and a half years Ruto has been in power, the country has made tremendous progress economically.

He said through a united country, Kenyans can achieve alot in their own country.

His sentiments have been echoed by the National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula who stated that the country needs to move forward through Kenyans efforts.

The sentiments from the two leaders come amid Kenyans resentments towards their own government.

For the past two years, Kenyans across the country have been criticising Ruto’s regime totally disregarding his leadership.

The situation worsened after the June 25, 2024 Gen-Z protests where over 30 youth were killed, scores injured and other unaccounted for.

The slogan ‘Ruto must go’ has gained momentum in the recent past, with human rights, political activists and the youthful generation strongly criticising the government for mutilating the constitution.

President Ruto’s regime has been blamed for the abduction spree, enforced disappearance,  killings and circumventing the constitution.
