President William Ruto on Friday nominated Interior Cabinet Secretary Professor Kithure Kindiki for the position of Deputy President.
Kindiki’s name was forwarded to the National Assembly for approval.
If approved, Kindiki will replace former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua who has been in the office for barely two years.
Gachagua was on Thursday, October, 17, 2024 impeached by the Senate over 11 accounts among them graft and disrespecting the president.
