The 42-year-old Princess Kate is expected to stay at the London Clinic for a maximum of two weeks and won’t likely resume her public duties until after Easter.
Kensington Palace made the stunning announcement at 2:00 PM yesterday; however, royal officials quickly clarified that there was no connection to cancer.

In another royal bombshell, Buckingham Palace declared less than ninety minutes later that the King would require surgery for an enlarged prostate.

William and Kate are known to have communicated with Charles and Queen Camilla.

Because Kate is a medically private patient, officials have not disclosed the nature of the surgery. Yet, according to a source, she was doing OK.

A statement from Kensington Palace said: “Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales was admitted to the London Clinic yesterday for planned abdominal surgery.

“The surgery was successful, and it is expected that she will remain in the hospital for ten to 14 days before returning home to continue her recovery.

“Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter.

“The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate. She hopes the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private.
