Although more fatigued than on Saturday, Pope Francis spent Saturday sitting in an armchair. Blood transfusions were necessary, and prognosis remains guarded.
The Pope Francis Asthma-like respiratory crisis of prolonged intensity also required the administration of high-flow oxygen.
“The Pope also required blood transfusions. He remained alert and spent the day in an armchair, although he was in more pain,” stated an earlier statement issued by the Vatican Press office on Saturday.
