Nyali Member of Parliament, Mohammed Ali has been forced to suspend all his political activities for the next three months after he sustained knee injury during the East African Community (EAC) Inter- Parliamentary Games conducted recently in Mombasa.

The Legislature said though the knee surgery was successful, doctors advised him to desist from going about his normal activities to allow for quick and full recovery.

According to Ali, famously known as Jicho Pevu, he will fully abide by the instructions, a reason why he will temporarily suspend his normal political routine.

“However, our office operations will go on as usual and our Nyali constituents should not worry about missing any critical services. Our officials are on duty,” said Mr. Ali.

“Following the knee injury I sustained during the EAC Inter Parliamentary Games in Mombasa, I am pleased to share that I have had a successful knee surgery. I am however informed by my doctor that my mobility will be limited for at least 3 months to allow for full recovery. I will therefore be suspending all political engagements and activities during this period but wish to assure all Nyali Constituents that office operations will run as usual. Please keep me in your prayers as I recuperate and I hope to bounce back even stronger,”
