Nakuru Senator Tabitha Karanja has been hospitalised at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, a renowned cancer treatment center.
Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika confirmed the news during an interview with a vernacular station on Thursday evening.
Karanja is said to be suffering from Kidney complications.
As of now, there have been no official statements from her family, political party, or the hospital regarding her condition.
The Royal Marsden Hospital is a renowned cancer treatment center in the UK, suggesting that her medical care is being managed at a specialized facility.
“I want to wish a quick recovery to Senator Tabitha Karanja, I know she is in a hospital in London,” said the Governor.
This comes weeks after Senator Karanja took issue with Kihika’s maternity leave, saying the latter had not properly communicated with the people of Nakuru.
“In short, the county government is at a standstill as we speak. Our major concern is that there were serious issues left behind, including, among others, the reopening of the War Memorial Hospital, which the court ordered to be reopened last year, yet up to now, it has not been opened,” Karanja said.
