Top media personality Mwende Macharia was on Saturday unveiled at Radio47, Cape Media Company owned national radio station.
Mwende who goes by the name ‘Queen of airwaves’ was unveiled in the Bahari ya elimu Saturday show that covers Swahili language and education matters in general, hosted by Hassan Kauleni.
Kauleni worked with Mwende back at Radio Maisha.
Mwende did not reveal much of what will be her main roles at her new home, Radio47, but noted that she was just a guest in the Bahari ya elimu program.
The ‘Queen of airwave’ recently left Radio Maisha but did not immediately reveal her new moves, however, speculations and all indicators directed her to Radio47.
She will be hosting a youthful entertainment show alongside a presenter by the name Manucho, according to reports.
Mwende has worked for Standard Group owned radio station, Radio Maisha for the last 14 years.
Before joining the national radio station back in 2010, Mwende worked for Coast radio station, Radio kaya.
