The Vibrant Digital strategist and Branding expert Diana Ngao who took the role of Director of Communication at the Mombasa County government, has resigned from the position.
Ms Ngao did not give out any reasons of her abrupt resignation from the plumb job. The reasons for her exit remains best known to herself.
The journalist, was picked from Azimio team where she worked under Azimio Presidential running mate Martha Karua.
She was fronted to head the County’s both internal and external communications.
Ms Ngao also played the roles of a Public Relations Officer, managing the county liaison roles.
She also directly managed all the communications in the Governor’s office, working with other Communication officers from various departments to ensure free flow of information.
However, it seems her efforts went unrecognised and could not last for long at the Mombasa County government, with some quarters revealing her exit could have been triggered by unending frustrations from internal organs of the county government.
In a very brief resignation letter, Diana stated;
“Dear Colleagues,
It has been a pleasure working with you all. This is to notify you I am transitioning out of this role and completing my notice period this month, (May).
Thank you for the support you have accorded me during my brief tenure. I wish you all the very best and hope to keep in touch.
Best regards,
Diana Ngao.
May, 31, 2024 was meant to be her last day of serving as the Mombasa County Director of Communication.
Diana Ngao is also the Co-founder of a non-governmental organisation, Positive Action Kenya.
The county government is working towards a fine replacement for the digital strategist and communication expert.
