Radio personality Caroline Mkamburi Kimegho will from Monday, 12, 2024, officially take on MCA Tricky on Milele Drive.

Mkamburi as famously known or Malkia wa Chipkizy, a name she earned following her interest in nurturing young upcoming artist in the Coast region, sharpened her broadcast journalism career at a Coast based Independent Mijikenda radio station Radio Kaya for four years when the vibrant Radio Queen crossed over to Nyali MP Mohammed Ali owned urban radio station, Mo Radio.

At Radio Kaya, Mkamburi hosted a youthful entertainment mid-morning show Kaya Flavaz that aired from 9am-1pm alongside Robert Matano (Robby Dallaz).

She also coordinated the Social media department of the station, roles she played until early May, this year when she jumped off the Radio Kaya wagon to the urban radio station, Mo Radio.

At Mo Radio, Mkamburi moved together with her co-host Robby Dallaz. The Duo hosted the MO Mid-Morning show from 10am-2pm.

Barely three months and the strong attractive voice is now broadcasting to the entire nation.

“It has been my dream to join a National radio station so that I talk and engage with Kenyans in every corner of our country. I am extremely happy and excited, about this new opportunity” said the jovial radio broadcaster.

No doubt the pair, Mkamburi and MCA Tricky will add a flavour to the station’s programming, mandated to sustain and recruit more audience for the station.

Mkamburi’s entrance to the stiff competitive radio industry only calls for vibrancy, creativity and hard work to bit the already tough battle.

While welcoming Mkamburi at the Mediamax owned Milele FM, MCA Tricky (Francis Munyao) assured vast fans that it will be a show they don’t want to miss.

“Officially welcoming Caroline Mkamburi Kimegho on Milele Drive starting this Monday from 6-10pm. It is a show you don’t want to miss. The transfer window is now officially closed,” she posted on his social media handles.

Milele FM like other national and regional radio stations has been struggling to stay afloat following economic shake-up and digital disruption witnessed by various traditional media houses countrywide.
