
Sombre mood engulfed the Mt. Zion Worship Centre Church in Nyali on Sunday during the viewing of the body of Sultana TV show finest Dida, the late Winfred Bwire Ndubi.
Friends and colleagues participated in special prayers, and later contribution event to enable the family transport the body of a humble, talented actress to her home in Matungu, Kakamega County for burial.
The Harambee culminated with viewing of the body where emotions ran high, sending the congregation, family, friends relatives and colleagues into a gloomy mood.
Bwire, 44 succumbed to cancer related complications in Istanbul Turkey on September, 5 2024. She has been battling cancer for the past two years with her family appealing for support to treat the metastic breast cancer she suffered.
The treatment coat in Turkey amounted to 7 million shillings.
Days after the body was flown back into the country on September, 8, family, friends and colleagues paticipated in a candle light vigil at the Little theatre club in Mombasa that was graced by Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Sharif Nassir and Jiffy Pictures production company co-owner and TV Personality Lulu Hassan.
Lulu and her husband Rashid Abdallah owns Jiffy Pictures that ndubi worked for during the Sultan TV show.
“Though Sultana project ended, we remained in touch with Winnie and we were one strong family, thats why this one pains me more,” said Lulu during the vigil.
Artists, actors, actresses, politicians and big names among them renowned youth mentor and Swahilipot Hub Director Mahmoud Noor graced the Saturday event clouded by sadness and sorrow.
On Sunday, friends, collegues and relatives got the chance to view the remains of the late talented actress Winfred Bwire Ndubi famously known as Dida at the Mt. Zion Worship Centre Church in Nyali, Mombasa.
The late Ndubi will be buried at her home in Matungu, Kakamega County on September, 21, 2024.

Meanwhile, players in the entertainment industry have once again appealed to the government to make cancer treatment affordable to Kenyans.
They called on the government to strive in getting modern effective cancer treatment in the country for very many suffering Kenyans.
