The young boy peruses his primary school documents including the official result slip and other class eight documents, praying hard and crossing his fingers that God will miraculously trigger wonders and make him join form one.

Clinton Muchoka looks above the ceiling of their one room rented house in Mishomoroni, Kisauni Sub county, Mombasa letting cold tears flow freely down his cheeks, he has no one to turn to for help, and for him his efforts to help out her mother from poverty life are slowly dwindling.

Muchoka says his primary education was also affected after the death of his father through a tragic road accident in Thika in 2018 and since then his mother, Eunice Khadiav has been struggling to make ends meet.

“I was helped by the owner of Servestar academy in Mishomoroni, where the school administration employed my mother and they gave me free primary education,” said the minor.

Muchoka wants to please the soul of his late father by making it in life, however, his dreams remain shuttered making him feel neglected by the world and forgotten by his Creator.

“My father before he died asked me to remain focused so that I succeed in life, I gathered 400 marks in my KCPE examination that is just one step towards grabbing my success, however things are falling apart,” he added.

The young boy however, says all is not lost and he hopes the heavens will heed his cry and enable him get his secondary education.

“I have been asking my mother about the day she will take me to school but she always promises that soon I will join form one, however, when I look at her eyes, all I can see is hopelessness just like me,” said a vividly pained Clinton.

His mother, Eunice Khadiav says the situation is worse and she is appealing to well-wishers to help her educate her child.

“I work at Servestar Academy where am paid KSH 5500 monthly this cannot help me feed my boy, pay rent and take him to school,” she said.

The mother expressed her worries after Muchoka threatened to commit suicide after all his friends joined form one leaving him stranded at home.
