The vibrant combination of Robby Dallaz (Robert Matano) and Caroline Mkamburi as the hosts of a youthful lively mid-morning entertainment show Kaya Flavaz has finally come to an end.
The pair has ditched the station to join MORadio owned by Nyali Member of Parliament Mohammed Ali.
Robby and Mkamburi have been a household pair, a darling for the youthful generation with their presentation and entertaining culture, making the independent Mijikenda Radio station the most listened radio station in the entire Coast region.
The two who have controlled the airwaves from 9am-1pm weekdays, for the last five years, have employed various tactics of engaging the youth while at the same time informing them of important issues revolving around the youth, a unique aspect that sustained the station’s reach.
However, time for the two at the station is literary over. The pair is joining MORadio, an urban radio station that targets the youthful generation.
It is not clear yet if the two will pair up in a single show at their new home or they will split roles in different programs.
“I have worked at Radio kaya, dedicated myself to deliver results. I have enjoyed to the fullest hosting Kaya flavaz, mid-morning show for the last five years, but time has come for me to embrace other challenges. Challenges are inevitable and no human being is stagnant,” said Dallaz.
Robby further thanked Radio kaya management for giving him the opportunity to command the youthful generation through the mixer button and a microphone.
“I have equally enjoyed my stay at Radio Kaya, I have dedicated myself in giving my vast audience nothing but the very best entertainment and edutainment. I thank the management for according me such a great opportunity to develop and nurture my radio journalism skills,” he further revealed.
Multi-talented
Apart from being a continuity presenter, Robby Dallaz also worked as a producer at Kaya records, a recording studio under Radio Kaya.
Before joining Radio Kaya, Robby Dallaz worked at Pilipili FM, that was later renamed Msenangu FM.
The vibrant energetic radio presenter joins his colleague Caroline Mkamburi who also bid farewell to the station barely two days ago.
Mkamburi too, thanked Radio kaya management for the opportunity and her colleagues who she said gave her the support she needed to perform her duties at the station, satisfactorily.
