The government has set aside Ksh.500 million to add more Huduma Centers in the country and improve service delivery.

This is according to Public Service Principal Secretary, Amos Gathecha.

Speaking in Mombasa during the official opening of the 2nd Annual Huduma Centre Managers Conference, Gathecha said the funds have been included in the budget.

“We expect to receive the funds in the 2025/26 Financial year. These funds will be used to add new Huduma centers and rehabilitate existing ones that are in poor conditions. We will also use the funds to upgrade machines being used at the Huduma centers countrywide,” said the PS.

Since the first Huduma Center Managers Conference, five more centers here been opened increasing the number to 57 from 52.

Themed  “Service with a Smile”, the three-day conference aims to reflect on triumphs, tackle hurdles, and craft forward-thinking strategies to elevate service delivery under Huduma Kenya’s mission of offering citizen-focused, efficient, and dignified public services.

“Generally we can say that Huduma Kenya has done very well in terms of service delivery to members of the public. That is where a member of the public can casually walk in and get services that they require. Huduma Kenya has played a big role in improving the image of the country,” said the PS.
