President William Ruto has nominated new faces in his first batch of 11-member partial cabinet.

In the appointments and re-appointments announced by President Ruto on Friday at Statehouse Nairobi, the President reinstated Prof. Kithure Kindiki (Interior), Aden Duale (Defense) and Alice Wahome Lands and Housing.

Davis Chirchir who served in the Energy Ministry landed at the Roads and Transport docket, Andrew Mwihia (Agriculture), little known 32-year old Eric Muriithi (Water and Sanitation), Julius Ogamba (Education).

In July, President Ruto fired his entire Cabinet, following increased pressure from Gen-Z youths who are still demanding in-depth changes in the government. They are demanding for President Ruto’s resignation.

Ruto, affirmed that he would engage in consultations for a broad-based new cabinet.

But even as the President prepares to accomplish the second 11 to complete the 22 full cabinet, the Gen-Z have rubbished Ruto’s new partial cabinet saying it amounts to reuse and recycling—and the difference remains the same.
