The youthful movement under the Gen -Z umbrella have rubbished a once vocal Gen-Z member Kasmuel McOure sentiments that he will drive change in the disintegrating ODM party.
According to the Gen-Z reactions few hours after the ODM announced that it has bagged Kasmuel from the Gen-Z movement, Kasmuel has been a corrupt leader who only focuses on his greedy and not for a transformative change Kenyans wants.
The Gen-Z, said Kasmuel was poised to join ODM political party long ago and he laid bear his interest of being an ODM supporter during the alleged public participation forums to impeach former Deputy President, Rigathi Gachagua, where Kasmuel openly backed the removal of Gachagua.
“We noticed the change of tune from Kasmuel long ago and as Gen-Z we want to disassociate ourselves with such a greedy corrupt character,” read part of Gen-Z statement.
The Gen-Z stated that the ODM party will reap nothing from Kasmuel as none of the Gen-Z will cling to clueless political parties with no agenda for Kenyans.
On Sunday, ODM Chairperson Gladys Wanga announced that the once vocal Gen-Z top leader had officially joined ODM political party.
According to the Homa Bay Governor, McOure has vowed to drive change in ODM by recruiting more members nationwide.
“We believe that Kasmuel with other youth we met in the country will bring the change we want in the country as we also strive to make ODM the largest and strongest political party in East and Central Africa,” said Wanga.
McOure, urged Kenyans to join the ODM party, stating that the party is ready to work with the youth to thrive change in the country.
However, the Gen-Zs are castigating McOure for being greedy and a typical Kenyan politician, saying he is only enjoying the popularity he acquired from the Gen-Z protests which he should only enjoy when time allows as it will never last.
