President William Ruto on Thursday received a heroic welcome after he landed in Mombasa for a three-day development tour.
The President while addressing residents, traders and Gen-Z at Changamwe, he defended his nomination to the cabinet the opposition saying together they will form an all-inclusive government.
He said the next cabinet will be a cabinet of peace, urging the youth not to be destructed and avoid engaging in protests and destroying other peoples’ property or businesses.
“We will unite and work with all leaders to transform Kenya,” he said.
The President will tour Kilifi county on Friday to launch several development projects and later cross over to Kwale county on Saturday for the same course.
Despite the witnessed cracks in ODM political party and the larger Azimio la Umoja, One Kenya Coalition, Mombasa residents have been celebration the nomination of former Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho, as the Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs nominee in Ruto’s cabinet.
The women and youth lauded President Ruto for picking their own for the mining docket.
