The Office of the Kenya’s Fourth President Uhuru Kenyatta Spokesperson, Ms. Kanze Dena-Mararo, visited the home of the late gospel singer Betty Bayo to deliver a heartfelt condolence message from former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
During the visit, Kanze comforted the grieving family — including Betty’s children Sky and Danny, her husband Hiram Gitau, and their extended relatives — assuring them of the former President’s prayers and support during this difficult moment.
As a gesture of sympathy, she also conveyed Ksh 1 million from the former Head of State to support the ongoing funeral arrangements, offered in honor of Betty’s life and ministry.
In his message of condolence, Kenyatta described Betty as “an extraordinary minister of the gospel whose music uplifted countless hearts and inspired hope across the nation.” He praised her unwavering dedication to gospel music and the strength of her faith, noting that her legacy would live on through her children, her songs, and the many lives she touched.
The former President extended his deep condolences to the entire family and prayed for God to grant them comfort, peace, and strength.
