Former Deputy President, Rigathi Gachagua will tonight address the Mount Kenya region and the Western through a televised statement.

During the 7pm to 9pm live address and interview, Gachagua will take questions from journalists and further explain the political strides made during his past series of meetings and political realignments, including that of him and Narc Kenya Leader Martha Karua.

The televised address will be aired on Royal Media Services (RMS) owned Inooro TV, media Max owned Kameme TV, Weru TV, Kameme FM, Inooro FM among other vernacular media establishments broadcasting in the Mount Kenya Region and the larger Western region.

Earlier, the former DP was seen attacking President William Ruto, and vowed to make Ruto a one term president.

“I will do everything possible to ensure that William Ruto becomes one term president. He can’t continue governing the country as his private property,” said Gachagua, now famously referred to as ‘Wamunyoro’

Recently since he was bundled out of the government, Gachagua has been on a campaign trail to unite the mountain region against President Ruto.

He joined the opposition strategising various ways to floor President Ruto in the 2027 general elections.

Gachagua has been meeting different leaders from Murang’a, Kirinyaga, Nyeri, Meru among other areas and he is now using the media to reach masses.

“It is evident that Kenyans have united against the Kenya Kwanza regime. If we give Ruto the second term to lead us we will have all failed as Kenyans. We must send this man home,” said the former DP.

He stated that the Mount Kenya region will launch its political party to drive change in the region and the entire country and at no point will the party join President William Ruto’s UDA Party.

“We are still working with other regional leaders and communities before we chat the way forward after we have made a tangible political decision,” said earlier, the former DP.

Among the big names who have discussed various political strategies with Gachagua are Narc Kenya Leader, Martha Karua and former Cabinet Secretary in the Jubilee government, Cesily Kariuki.
