Huge fire gutted down a section of prestigious Diani Reef hotel in Kwale County Sunday evening.
The Kenya Red Cross Society (KRCS) together with the Kwale County government Fire Department spent better part of Sunday afternoon containing the inferno.
According to the humanitarian body, no casualties were reported during the incident.
The multi-agency team later managed to put out the fire.
The hotel management is currently assessing the safety of occupants, transferring some of the occupants to safe areas within the premise.
The cause of the fire is yet to be established.
