President William Ruto has revealed that he transferred former Attorney General (AG) Justin Bidan Muturi to the Public Service docket because he was lazy.
According to President Ruto, many assignments at Muturi’s ‘To do list’ took long to be executed following his incompetence.
Addressing the Muslims faithful during an Iftar dinner held at State House Nairobi on Tuesday, the President said the current Attorney General, Dorcas Oduor is competent enough and up to the task, assuring Kenyans of maximum quality service.
President Ruto was responding to the delay in constituting the Wakfu Commission (In charge of Muslims property) a process that the Muslim clerics and faithful say it has taken too long.
“We all know that the reconstituting of the critical commission has taken too long because our former Attorney General was incompetent. However, we have a very proactive lady now that will see the commission reconstituted and immediately get down to work,” said President Ruto.
The Public Service Cabinet Secretary has continued creating gap between him and the President, pressing on with his demands that the government should form a commission of inquiry to unearth who is behind the enforced disappearance in the country.
Muturi, who has been skipping cabinet meetings chaired by his boss President William Ruto says he will not attend any cabinet meeting until the forcible disappearance issue, abductions and killings are contained.
in June, 2024, CS Muturi’s son Lesley Muturi was abducted and was later released after his father’s intervention. The incident angered the current public service Cabinet Secretary.
“I am not and I will not sit in any cabinet meeting until the issues of abduction, forcible disappearances and extrajudicial killings of the youth are amicably resolved,” said Muturi recently.
While addressing journalist in Mombasa recently, CS Muturi also told off his critics that he will not resign from the cabinet position since he is only fighting for all Kenyans.
Though President William Ruto allies have threatened to remove him from cabinet, Muturi has dared the National Assembly to proceed with their threats to axe him from the cabinet.
