Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has rubbished threats by Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen that he will be arrested immediately he lands back in the country.

Gachagua says he fears nothing and he will come back to Kenya soon to carry on with his political activities.

Gachagua who has been in the US for over a month now, meeting Kenyans living in the United States says Kenyans cannot be threatened by their own government.

The DCP Party leader said he will work with Kenyans to ensure that President William Ruto is handed a “One term” and bundled out of the presidency through a transparent vote in the 2027 general elections.

“I don’t just make empty statements. I make statements backed with evidence and the Al-shabab meeting that happened recently in the Northern part of Kenya started at the US Senate not with me,” noted Gachagua.

Recently in his tour in the US, Gachagua made the damning allegations that President Ruto held a secret meeting with Al-shabab leaders during his tour in Mandera county and the larger northern Kenya.

“So should Murkomen arrest me or arrest the US Senate for bringing up such evidence-based findings? I will fearlessly return back home very soon. Let him prepare enough to arrest and detain me,” noted Gachagua.

The DCP Party leader urged Kenyans to support his quest to return the country to it’s people.

Recently, Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen warned that immediately Gachagua lands in the country from his US tour, he will be arrested following his remarks in the United States that President Ruto met with Al-shabab leaders while in his tour in Mandera county.

Murkomen insisted that such were irresponsible remarks meant to instil fear among Kenyans.

“We cannot tolerate the DCP Party leader, not any more. We will arrest him immediately he lands in the country and make sure he records statement over his damning irresponsible allegations,” CS Murkomen warned.
