Muslims across the country will mark Eid-Ul-Fitr on Wednesday, April, 10.
This is after the crescent was sighted in most parts of the country including Mombasa, Lamu and Tana River counties.
Chief Kadh Sheikh Abdulhalim Athuman Hussein announced that Muslims will mark Eid-Ul-Fitr after the moon sighting committee successfully sighted the moon in various parts of the country.
“We have received credible information that the crescent was sighted in various parts of the country and in most parts of the Coast region. This marks the end of the Holy month of Ramadan and Muslims will mark Eid-Ul-Fitr prayer on Wednesday,” the Chief Kadh made the remarks while addressing the media at the Wakf offices in Mombasa on Tuesday evening.
Sheikh Hussein’s remarks marks the end of the Holy month of Ramadan where Muslims have been observing fasting.
Muslims have been fasting and remained prayerful for the last 29/30 days.
“I take this opportunity to congratulate all Muslims for the humility and observing the Holy pillar of fasting during the entire period. I wish my fellow Muslims in the entire republic Eid Mubarak,” said Chief Kadh Abdulhalim Athuman Hussein.
