Blue Radio and Media for Nature have signed a one-year Memorandum of Understanding on the creation of environmental awareness content on issues facing the Blue Economy and other ecological effects on coastal communities.

The agreement leverages the strengths of both organizations. Blue Radio (Gilitics Media) brings its dynamic broadcasting platform and expertise in reaching a wide audience, anchored by Gilitics Media’s experience in the media landscape. Media for Nature contributes its in-depth research capabilities, journalistic know-how, and commitment to training the next generation of environmental storytellers.

“We are thrilled to partner with Media for Nature,” said Gibert Were the director at Gilitics Media. “This MOU allows us to delve deeper into the heart of the blue economy and empower coastal communities to share their stories.

On his part, Mr Mazera Ndurya, Co-Founder, Media for Nature, echoed these sentiments, stating, “This collaboration is a powerful step towards ensuring environmental issues have a strong voice in Kenya’s media landscape. By working with Blue Radio, we can reach a wider audience and inspire positive change.”
