After four years off the TV screen, TV News anchor Betty Kyallo is back again on our screens, however, now on a different platform, TV47.

The Cape Media owned TV channel has been on recruitment spree giving once top national televisions in the country tough and stiff competition.

TV47 has been strategising and poaching from various leading media establishments in the country, aiming at growing into one of the most popular broadcasters in the country.

Cape Media also owns Radio 47 that confiscated almost the entire Radio Maisha presenters.

Kyallo ended her stunt journalism career at the Standard Group owned 24-hour News Channel KTN News and would later join K24 TV.

The Mediamax Limited owned TV channel, K24 would end Betty’s journalism career in a rude way that left the talented journalist out in the cold for exactly four years before she recently made a come back on TV47.

Betty has been working on her personal interests and investments including the Flair with Betty, a Nairobi based beauty parlour that recently saw expensive equipment auctioned for alleged failure by the proprietor to pay rent.

The TV Personality, together with her two sisters Mercy and Gloria ventured into reality show ‘The Kyallos’ during her out of the mainstream media time. The Show was available on ShowMax.

Betty, a go getter, creative news anchor is slated to host the Friday Prime time News which aims at blowing other stations out of the grid.

Where she worked, most of the shows she hosted could not be sustained by the new faces who replaced her. For example the Friday Briefing on KTN News, the ‘Mind your language’ segment on Friday Briefing also collapsed. Same applies to Technology check and ‘How things work’ programs, all on KTN News.

Betty worked for Standard Group owned KTN and KTN News for eight years before bidding her employer and colleagues farewell.

She joined K24 TV where she hosted Weekend prime time news ‘Weekend with Betty’ every Saturday and Sunday. That News Show also collapsed.

Some of her vast audience and colleagues in the media industry congratulated her for her new role at TV47, but will she sustain and beat the current stiff competition in the media industry? Is she still creative enough to hold, sustain and recruit more audience for the Cape Media owned fast growing TV station, TV47?

Only figures, statistics and verified polls will answer these questions.
