At least three people died after a light aircraft crashed them in Malindi town along Kwa Chocha area, Kilifi county on Friday afternoon.
According to police reports, the light Cesna aircraft had on board two students and their trainer before it developed mechanical problems and crash-landed along the Malindi-Kilifi highway before it burst into flames.
A Bodaboda rider and his female passenger and a third person were crashed to death. One of the locals was burnt beyond recognition.
The trainer with his two students were saved from the huge flames by locals and were rushed to Tawfiq private hospital within Malindi town where they are receiving urgent treatment.
Police have launched investigations involving experts to unleash the cause of the accident.
