“The accident happened near Dan View hotel along the Kaloleni -Mariakani road. The four injured being three pedestrian and the driver of the private car are receiving urgent medical attention at the Mariakani Sub County Hospital in Kilifi County,” said Mr Lenkarii.

The three bodies were taken to the Coast General Teaching and Referral Hospital (CGTRH) morgue for autopsy and other procedures including information to their kin.

Lenkarii said they are investigating to establish the cause of the accident.

The vehicle belongs to one Stephen Randu, who is also admitted at the Mariakani Sub County hospital receiving urgent treatment according to police.

“We urge all road users to be very careful as the region is currently witnessing a rise in road accidents. Our roads have become killers,” said Mr Lenkarii.
