Two people sustained serious injuries on Sunday afternoon after a public van they were travelling in was involved in a tragic road accident at Miritini along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway.
The matatu was hit on the front part by a trailer, seriously injuring the two passengers on board.
They were rushed to a nearby hospital where they are receiving urgent treatment.
Police are investigating the accident that happened in the newly constructed Kwa Jomvu road along the busy Mombasa-Nairobi highway.
